Er L Venkata Krishna Iyer was born on May 7, 1888. He served as Chief Engineer in the composite Madras State and retired on May 7, 1943. He was again appointed as Chief Engineer in the composite Madras State in 1952 and came worked in Andhra State on its formation on October 1, 1953. He was associated with Nagarjunasagar Project originally taken up as a joint venture of Andhra and Hyderabad States till November 1, 1956 when the Andhra Pradesh came into existence. In 1962 he was elevated as Secretary to Government, P.W.D (Projects Wing) and Ex-Officio Administrator. He finally retired in 1963 and later died on November 3, 1976, at the ripe age of 88 years. Er L Venkata Krishna Iyer served the A P State Centre as Chairman during the year 1962-63. He is the recipient of ‘Padma Bhushan’ award for his meritorious work.
Er K V Srinivasa Rao born on ……………………….and took his engineering degree from the Osmania University. He was a brilliant scholar of his days and joined P.W.D as Assistant Engineer in the year 1939. He joined the Nagarjunasagar Dam in 1956 as the first Superintending Engineer of inspection and Quality Control of works. He served in the project till 1958 and was transferred to the regular P.W.D. He became Chief Engineer in 1962 and later he was promoted as a Member, Central Water and Power Commission, Government of India and served there for two years. In 1972 he was appointed as the Chairman, Andhra Pradesh State Electricity Board and retired in 1974 with an outstanding record of service. Er K V Srinivasa Rao served the A P State Centre of IEI as Chairman during the year 1969-70. He retired as Chief Engineer, A P State in 1957. He toured abroad on deputation to USA and UK for studying locations of various dam sites and types of dam construction during 1947 and 1948.
Er M L Swamy born on 10th March, 1925, had his Diploma in Civil Engineering from Engineering College, Guindy, Madras and graduation in Civil Engineering from Madras University in 1947. He served the State of A P in various capacities in Krishna and Godavari Deltas, Vamsadhara Project, Srisailam Project, Nagarjunasagar Project and various other medium and minor Irrigation Projects. He also served as Project Engineer in the erstwhile A P State Construction Corporation and General Manager of National Hydro Electric Power Corporation, New Delhi. He retired as Engineer-in-Chief, Government of Andhra Pradesh in 1983. His fields of specialization are Water Management, Planning and Construction of Irrigation Projects, Hydro Electric Projects, Drainage Projects, Hydraulic Structures of Dams, Barrages, Tunnels, Canals and Power Houses etc.
